It depends on how hard the unit works. A unit that runs most of the day, a home with pets and humid weather all mean dust and mould build up faster. If it smells musty when it starts up, or the vents look dark, it is due.
Cooling pulls moisture out of the air, and that water sits on the coils and in the drain tray. Add dust from the room and a dark, damp spot inside the unit, and mould has everything it needs. A filter rinse does not reach any of it.
Per unit. The Basic clean starts from $65 a unit. The Signature deep clean starts from $125 for the first unit and $75 for each extra unit in the same house. Ceiling fans are $20 each when added to an aircon clean.
